I don't have a problem with that.
Like I think the party's
Party voters will make that choice for us regardless.
But you're saying that we should like embrace that and be talking about it more, which on economic populism, I'm with you basically a hundred percent.
Like outside of like there shouldn't be personal property, which I don't believe in at all.
I think is silly.
Like a lot of the DSA ideas on economic populism and rebuilding the New Deal are good.
I'm all for that.
And I've heard Mamdani talk about it.
I really like it.
Where they completely lose me is abolishing prisons, abolishing the police, abolishing the Senate.
Like shit like that, that sounds ridiculous to the average American that I think is ridiculous to me.
And that's in the DSA platform.
Like that's not like Republican right-wing fear-mongering.
If you go read their platform, abolishing prisons is in there.
Abolishing police is in there.
How should the Democratic Party sell that to the American people?
Because I don't think there's a viable way to do that.
And DSA's unwillingness to get away from that culture war shit makes it harder for them to win on the economic populism issues.
