Uh, but and Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench.

What was that like?

Yeah, and uh I just remember that night.

I remember everything about that that series.

And uh game four is the series that my dad took me to to.

It was the Louis Tian, I think, hundred and sixty two pitch uh marathon that uh ended.

I one thing that broke my heart about that game, Marty, was Ken Griffey Jr.

uh Ken Griffey Senior hits a line drive to center field.

If Fred Lynn does not make the catch over his shoulder, the Reds win that game.

I and that was the bottom of the ninth inning.

And I remember my dad and I uh he we parked in the Procter Gamble Garage that's still there as a matter of fact.

Right.

And I cried in this car in the backseat.

I was so like devastated.

And the reason I bring all of this up is, you know, years later, as you know, I worked for in Boston, covered the Patriots, Red Sox for twenty seven years.

Uh, and they it they were incredible years.

Uh, they really formed me into the person I am today, the man I am today.

And

uh the professional I I purport to be today.

And every time I walked inside that uh visitors clubhouse at Fenway, that's what I thought of, was that moment that the Reds celebrated.
