Problem I have is not so much that they moved Bryson Stott off second base to make room for him.

Problem is that they moved Bryce Harper to the outfield so that Alec Bohm could play first base.

And Alec Bohm is an impending free agent.

There's no long-term connection here.

He's not hit at all.

I don't really understand why they couldn't have just cut Bohm, benched Bohm, found some other like mildly competent right-handed hitting outfielder.

Cause I think Harper in the outfield is going to be a problem.

And oh, by the way, Trey Turner has been a brutally bad defensive shortstop this year.

So their defense is going to be a whole thing.

I obviously like adding his bat, and I don't want to get into the argument about batting average or anything, because by any advanced metric you can have, he's been 20% above average this year.

He's been a really, really good hitter.

And while I know it's super funny to people that this light hitting contact god is hitting cleanup, like he's hitting in Lou Gehrig's spot, right?

Number four.

Uh it makes a lot

sense because his entire deal is making contact and he was miscast as a leadoff guy.

You don't you're not going to move runners along when there's no runners on.

I want him behind the high on base percentage guys because he is really good at batting average with runners and scoring position, which is not a skill pretty much anybody reliably has.

And so why you would ever put him at the top of the lineup where there is nobody on most of the time was beyond me.

So I actually really like this a lot, even though it feels

weird.
