How much this bothers me because and no disrespect to Lisa Rice, he's like one of the history's greatest contact hitters.
What what he can do against the level of pitching today, it's just incredible.
But the value isn't really there.
And I think the best number I can give you to prove this is he hit second for most of the year.
Uh number two hitters for the Padres were tied for last in run scoring among all number two hitters.
And they were next to last in RBIs among all number two hitters.
So if you're not getting on base, you're not scoring runs, you're not driving in runs, what are you actually doing there?
And someone on I posted that a couple weeks ago and someone on social media had the absolute perfect response and I can't remember who said it, so I'm sorry.
But he was like, Yeah, he's the prototypical number two hitter throughout history, which means right now he's the prototypical number six hitter.

That's where he should be.
And the fact that they choose to hit him above better hitters, it's incredible to me.
And even if you look back at past postseasons, he this doesn't work better in the playoffs.
He's got like a two forty on base for his postseason career.
They're like shooting themselves in the foot here, and I'll never quite understand it.
Yeah, so it's really interesting because I I'm gonna say Dodgers in two, not because I think the Dodgers are this massively better team, even though I do, right?
It's because if you this is if you look at the previous couple years of this format, we've had twelve three game series.
