But really all adds up to suggest that um, you know, the labor market is pretty much softening uh uh at a at a pretty somewhat alarming rate uh here in the summer.
Worried about your job prospects uh in the near future.
Um you're probably not gonna take on some big ticket purchases, plan a big vacation, that sort of thing.
Though that sort of discretionary spending that really fuels the economy.
Um that said, we're not really seeing that sort of dire follow-up in the actual uh consumer spending numbers just yet.
But that certainly is a concern when consumer uh confidence.
