Most drafts pick 30 versus pick 50 isn't a huge difference.

And so I think the idea of trading back should be very intriguing to teams like that.

Now, you don't get the fifth-year option, but the fifth-year option's not nearly as important as it used to be.

So to kind of keep this flipping over, because the roster got really expensive, right, and we've already kind of seen having some cost-cutting measures with this team,

Just that, like, hey, we can load up on picks on day two, day three more often than not because Brett Vegeman is so good at that realm of the draft.

You know, late hits in day three and in the secondary, a lot in day two as well throughout other positions, you know, linebackers specifically probably.

It's just like, okay, we don't have to stick at that first rounder if we can start generating more draft capital in the future.

Well, not everyone knows that.

A lot of teams are always thinking they know exactly who the player is that's going to be what pushes them over the edge in this year's draft.

So for the Chiefs, you're not looking for the guy to push you over the edge.

Patrick Mahomes pushes you over the edge.

can just fill a roster spot for you competently.

Well, here's that.

We do always hear that.

And in defense, I will say 50% of the time it's true.

That's just the law of averages.

Half the time it will be true that next year's draft is better.

So we hear it every other year that it's true.

I do think you can know to a degree who will be the blue chip guys.
