With all the plugins, you can configure it exactly the way you want.
You can basically build your own productivity, creativity system.
With Cloud, you can make your own plugins if they don't exist now.
You can really craft whatever writing environment you want to have and then force yourself to write about things.
It doesn't matter if it's public, like Jeff was talking about with day one and those journal entries.
That is the create phase of the creativity flywheel.
That is the output.
Even if nobody else
ever sees it just get in the habit of consistently making things inside of obsidian and then because it's marked down if you do want to put it anywhere else it's real easy to that's cool copy and paste it put it in a newsletter put it in a blog post whatever but yeah just start capturing things start connecting things and then start creating things

And then there's some videos that will help you figure out where to get things unstuck.
But the key for me, and the reason that it's a flywheel, is that I think creativity is a lot like, and PKM in general, is like a water wheel.
There's gotta be an inflow, there's gotta be an outflow.
So if the wheel stops, then the creativity stops.
What you were describing, Jeff, about the insurance, the stuff that you can fall back on, the only reason that you have that stuff that you can fall back on is because you have a system for capturing things and they are in that idea bank when you need something to write about.
You know that I've pre-vetted these things and so there's some good stuff to work off of.
I think one of the most dangerous things is when you don't have a system for your ideas.
You've got an idea that you're excited about, but it's the only one that you've got and you're putting all your stock into, I have to make something out of this.
