is one measure of success.
It's a pretty low bar.
Can I still go buy it?
I can go buy Star Frontiers.
I can buy Frontier Space.
So just by that definition alone, it's quote-unquote successful.
I don't know that it needs to meet every one of these criteria, but it probably needs to be more than that to be quote-unquote successful to me.
But at least you can get it, because if you cannot get it, I would argue that it can't continue to be successful if you can't buy it.
If you can't buy it, you can't acquire it.
It's probably not.
Never say never, but I wouldn't say it's successful.
Here's a big one that I think is a really good test.
Are people playing it at conventions?
You don't need to go to the conventions to see if people are playing it, but you can at least go and look at what games are available at any given convention and say, if there are games that are available for this, that means people are playing it.
And if they're playing it, I would consider that to be pretty successful.
But it also gives you a gauge.
Is there one table?
Is there 90 tables?
Like how many tables at this game are playing that system can give you a good gauge of success.
It is not a fantastic measure to judge success globally, but it's probably not bad.
