I saw a great interview with Tom Brady a while ago that I remember talking about right when it happened.
These are plays that you'll never hear about, you'll never read about.
Nobody's going to write about the play of the game as the quarterback getting out of a horrible play at the line of scrimmage, maybe a catastrophic play, and getting a yard or two.
Or getting a nothing play, an incompletion.
How about checking out of a catastrophic play into an incompletion?
Nobody's sitting up in the press box saying, that was the play of the game.
But you know what?
It might have been.
And it takes a really sharp quarterback to be able to do things like that.
And I saw somebody, I don't remember who, breaking this down online the other day.
is Rodgers getting them out of bad plays.
And getting them into good plays, maybe on the same occasion, maybe on different occasions.
He beats you with his brain.
But you saw the throw to Friermuth, too, the other day.
And he threw one of those in Cleveland late in the game, too.
And it reminded me of his Super Bowl throw.
You remember, it's a famous throw, really.
I think it was third and nine, if I'm not mistaken.
on a field goal drive for the Packers late in that game.
