We can only go back so many years.
You look at it now with the board.
They've said that they will commit.
They have spent money in the past.
They've got to spend the right money.
But what they want to acknowledge is that it's the wages, isn't it?
Listen, you can buy a player for ยฃ100 million and pay him ยฃ250,000 a week and it doesn't work out, but you've got to get the recruitment right.
He's got to be the right player that fits the football club, the right model.
I want to bring Daniel Levy into this.
He got pelters from Spurs fans for 25 years.
Spurs are now one place and one point off the bottom three.
Was he as bad as he was painted?
I don't think he was as bad as people made out.
I mean, listen, he made some bad decisions.
you know, when you look over the recruitment and the way where the football club could have gone in certain moments in its history, go back to the Champions League final with Pochettino, we were there, we were amongst it, you know, being in Europe on a regular basis and we could have gone to the next level and he didn't pounce on the opportunity.
And I think that's where a lot of Spurs fans then disregarded him, you know, moving forward.
