If we're not getting a 10% target share, then you'll be more like the running back 10%.
I mean, the hard part for that is the way you overcome being on a bad team is workload.
And Ashton Gentry was 39% of the team's rushing attempts and targets.
That is McCaffrey, Johnny Taylor, and Bijan are the only running backs who had a higher percentage.
So he was the entirety of the running back position.
And because the team was so bad...
You only had a couple spike weeks from Jenty, and he didn't finish as he was drafted as you had hoped.
The offensive line was putrid.
Now they've got Linda Baum from the Ravens.
That certainly helps, but the metrics on their offensive line is pretty close to dead last in yards before contact, stuff rate, rush success rate.
These things were all bad for running backs behind this line.
And the stat that you're alluding to, Andy, so running backs with a rookie quarterback.
Over the last decade, teams with a rookie QB who have started 10 or more games, a.k.a.
their rookie quarterback is their full-time starter, the running back one for those teams averaged 7.5 total touchdowns.
That's a very scary number when you're looking at the other running backs who are in this range.
Yes, I agree.
It's just how long until Mendoza comes in.
End of year Bijon was excellent.
It's very fair.
I put a call in.
