This idea of jumping over a piece of rope is ancient.
In sixteen um hundred BC.
Because it's uh this is what I was so interested in about skipping.
In sixteen hundred BC, uh there is imagery of ancient Egyptians skipping over vine.
And and and this is so this is actually They did everything.
Well yeah.
This is one of the oldest ways to move our bodies to jump.
And we used to jump.
When we're young, we jump.
You know that thing that babies can do when they sit on their feet and their bum touches their heels?
That incredible kind of flexibility.
And Okay, yeah.
You know what I mean?
If you you can train yourself, but it's like it's like that real like when your body is learning to move.
And then what we next start to do is jump.
And then I believe we stop.
And it's actually the the the the worst thing for us to stop jumping.
Um also I was interested in the fact that skipping is historically through runs through culture and always has.
Like you can read a 17th-century Victorian French children's book and there'll be a girl with a skipping rope.
But then you go to the VA and there'll be a statue of a girl with a skipping rope, but then also there's like seven
