Same thing happened on the cross.
The evil powers come, but he delivers from the evil one.
That's why Jesus ultimately said, but not my will, but yours be done.
It kind of makes a little more sense when you're looking at it that the evil one uses our trials and the bad things that happen to then tempt you
That's why James says, God doesn't tempt you to do evil, but now he'll test you.
And that's why you see these things all over the place.
And look, how'd he get there?
The Holy Spirit carried him to the wilderness.

So what happened to this?
God doesn't tempt you.
So that's what they're saying, to wrap your head around it.
God's going to give you the test, and he wants you to pass.
Oh, yeah.
Because it is going to produce character.
You overcome it.
But there's always going to be an element of the dark side of the world, the fallen angel, the spiritual forces of evil, that they're going to use your most vulnerable time to say, hey –
Do it this way, which is exactly what the evil one did in the garden.
They made this point biblically, I thought, fascinating because it's interesting that we went to Jesus being tested.
