But having used Grindr through my years and the amount of time you can waste and the amount of things that don't pan out, I could see someone being like,
i'll just rather go to hamlin's cruising spot where i on a weekend when it's busy i'm gonna be able to or go to a club like to know like okay maybe you won't find somebody but it's different like you're not gonna be ghosted by somebody or you're not gonna like spend half an hour talking to someone and then they're gonna decide they don't actually want to get together today
so I can see that it still has a place and that's why I think it is similar to like dark rooms but the true cruising in like other public spaces that aren't known for it because I think Hamlin's Beach is known for yeah like if we're talking like other parks or bathrooms like I think that brings in that risky sort of like the sexual edge of it of like the idea of getting caught turning people on

I haven't been on Grindr in a long time, but I follow some of these subreddits that are gay.
And a lot of people I see making posts that are like, Grindr is completely unusable these days.
Why?
Because unless you pay for it, and I think it costs quite a lot of money, they make it so annoying.
There's ads everywhere.
