Is there a background of Ben Lerner and his work that you think we should know before we proceed?
I completely agree.
I think of him as, I'm going to say it, it's going to sound derogatory, but it's not.
I think of him as a great philosophical literary man, which some people may say that's a derogatory thing where it sounds like a put-down, but I just mean that there's a tone and an intellectual quality to his considerations.
But I feel like his characters are often bumbling in humorous ways.
