But that wasn't really Liverpool's superpower.
Liverpool's superpower in that
other period was getting players from the academy.
that they weren't actually using, but they were mak they're able to build them up to a point where other teams would be able to spend big money on them.
Like twenty five million quid for Rean Brewster, like I that one still blows my mind now.
that was a regular occurrence.
Then you look at um the Academy products that L Liverpool tried to move on this summer.
Harvey Elliott
ended up going on loan for um a minimal fee.
Stefan Baisacich was a similar about two million quid or something like that.
Uh Calvin Ramsey again.
So normally if Liverpool were moving on three Academy players, they were looking to bank anywhere up to twenty five to twenty thirty million quid.
This time they're not even cast five.
That's a big difference.
You know what I mean?
It's it's funny because of how the perception has changed.
If you think about when Edwards first came in with Brendan Rogers, Brendan Rogers was kind of going to some members of the press and talking about, I can't believe this guy who's got no experience of football is in there making decisions and most people in football were on board with that because the manager in all of our minds is still King.
And then obviously the success of Liverpool in that period fueled
by mythology around stuff like the Mostala changed the s changed the situation.
The wider people became more involved, like this is the thing.
