I didn't know women were not allowed as a kid.

And I remember when I was playing, finishing under 12s with the boys, they said to me, oh, you can't play anymore.

And I was like, why not?

And their reason, I still don't understand to this day.

This is a true story.

They said to me, you can't play anymore because you're going to get boobs.

And funny story, I still haven't gotten those boobs.

I am nowhere near that.

But that was it.

So I thought that was done.

Yeah, it was weird.

It was weird.

And I grew up in a household where we really didn't have conversations at all, more or less explains to me why I can't play footy anymore.

So being told, you're going to get boobs on day, so you can't play anymore.

And so I was like, oh, crap.

That's what I loved about playing footy with the boys.

People always say to me, it must have been hard playing with the boys.

And absolutely not.

The thing I loved about playing with the boys was the boys never treated me like a girl and they didn't treat me like a boy.

I was just a footballer.
