Secondly, I have to make sure that all the players are in safe before we go ahead and give the final green light.

That was so difficult.

I remember those days.

My plan was to participate in international tournament on India Rugby Cup and then once we just finished, return back in Syria and make these players like a good example to follow.

I just tried to format a team, a Syrian national team who participated in India in Chennai in 2016.

This team, we have had mostly of them from universities.

So once we just returned back, I asked those players to be representing Serie A rugby in their universities and start to establish their teams.

I don't know if I can say that I'm proud, but I understand that I have to do my best and keep doing my best up to the end.

I dreamed when I just started to play rugby in the beginning to wear the Syrian national team jersey and play for the Syrian rugby team.

And I have done this dream now.

I got to go.

We cried a bit.

We laughed a bit.

It was wonderful.

There's a magic during those moments that carries your soul.

We were truly blessed to be a part of history.
