at the people who come forward with these stories, even if it's not something like assault, even if it's just some sort of, you know, story of male sexual entitlement or like sexual hypocrisy.
The people who challenge that in public do not do well.
You can't tell a story of a powerful man behaving in a sexually illicit or abusive or just gross way and come out with your own life intact.
It really puts you through the ringer in terms of what it costs in time and humiliation and dignity and money.
You have to pay a lot to do that in all those different cases.
And you often don't get very much out.
Part of the myth that people get rich quick by telling these stories in public suggests that they don't need another job, right?
And what I hear Taylor saying is like, no, I need this job.
This is actually my livelihood.
I can't risk my future income just to point out that this guy's a hypocrite.
You know, something that is striking to me in these accounts from sex workers that we've discussed today, these are not big amounts of money.
You know, Barney Frank paid $80.
Lindsey Graham paid $400.
These are people who are making like low margin business transactions here.
And I think that is another thing that we should keep in mind when we're like making these kinds of assessments of like, OK, what do these people owe the public about their stories?
It's like these are often not people who are rolling in it.
That stuff pisses me off so much.
No, nothing but love to her.
I think she's like, maybe you're going to save democracy.
But like, if anybody does it, it'll be her, right?
