And I think that's what being a Republican will do to you, if not in like literal physical terms.
But I think living the kind of life that Lindsey Graham lived required him to put convenience over principle.
It required him to hurt people a lot.
It required him to look away from other people's suffering.
And it required him to betray things about himself and about his friends that he could have lived a much more expansive life if he had embraced instead.
And I just like I hate I hate the heavy handedness of this.
I don't think you have to be a bad person to die of that disease.
Right.
But I think I think in Lindsey Graham's case, I want to make an exception.
I think the metaphor is just too apt.
What can I say?
You know, I think like one take on Lindsey Graham that I've heard that I think is kind of optimistic is like, oh, he thought he had time.
Right.
Like he thought he had time to see through this long, you know, longed for war with Iran thing.
And to like change it into, I guess, something stable.
He thought he had time to try and like use Trump for his own ends and then flip back around and say that guy was a mess.
I never liked him.
Like he thought he had time, maybe even to, you know, come to some sort of settlement with his own sexuality.
Right.
But tomorrow is not guaranteed, folks.
