Everyone used to do it and still do it.

It's a normal thing to do.

But what you get from that is you either track it and continue to add everything up and divide the numbers, or maybe you have a spreadsheet or an app that does it for you to make it a little more simple.

But most of the time, you have to continue and keep up with that.

And then 90% of the time, that doesn't happen.

So what ends up happening is you keep track of everything, but then you add everything up and divide it and figure out how much you actually spent at the end of the month.

And I'm not about that.

I want to know what's going on in real time.

I want to be able to see if I have the money in that budgeted area, if I've allotted enough money in that budgeted area in real time so that...

in that short-term moment, in that moment, I'm able to make a solid financial decision that's not going to affect something later on down the line, right?

And so a traditional budgeting system just did not work.

I also tried to do a cash envelope system and try to keep track of it that way.

I still wasn't able to make it work for me, right?

So it's super hard to use other people's systems when it doesn't work for you, especially if you're not using that system.

And that is why I created my planner, right?
