The people that made sure she was never at an appointment alone, like all of her girlfriends.
And it was just that.
It was this line of my mom's girlfriends and then my dad.
Cause he was part of her team.
Like even though they had been divorced, like there was a time she had to go to Houston cause she lived in Austin, but her treatment was at MD Anderson.
And so her appointments were sometimes down and back same day.
Sometimes they'd spend the night, sometimes not.
But occasionally my dad, if nobody else could go, my dad was like, I can do it.
I'll take her.
Isn't that so sweet?
Her little army.
So it was a mixture of that.
Something that Chase told me the other day, a friend of ours, he has written himself a letter to be read at his funeral and he's already given it to a friend.
Should anything happen to him, his friend knows this needs to be read at my funeral.
