We didn't see obesity in those days. I'm talking about glucose, fructose, all of the syrups that are going into foods also to make them sticky and trigger the reward center in your brain to want more of those foods.

Like anything that has to be enriched is like, there's no, there's nothing in that that's going to serve your health.

Like when it says artificial, artificial colors, artificial dyes, especially gosh, parents, I know it's not easy for your kids to avoid all the artificial stuff, but like, if you don't buy it, they can't eat it. It goes for you, too. If you don't buy it, it won't be in the house for you to eat. And if we're going to make any changes to our food system, we need to control with our dollar.

If we don't give money to the companies who are just using that money for marketing and advertising, by the way, those foods are not expensive. They are cheap as hell to produce. They spend more on the marketing, the advertising to you and your kids to make you buy that food than what goes into the actual food in itself. And it's not real advertising.
