I thought as well it would be easy enough to get under the table, under the table work.
papers oh right right you're an illegal and uh but it was 2009 and it was the recession so actually people were like you go there you walk around and get a bar job in two seconds flat and i just spent days walking the streets like just asking for work nobody had work and uh i finally did find a cafe
on 2nd Avenue and they paid me $2.50 per hour plus tips.
And in the weekend they paid me $0.00 per hour plus tips.
Wild.
I know.
And it was actually really fun.
I was like the one server and I would do the coffee.
I remember one girl showed me how to make an espresso when I got there, like a latte or a flat white.
