Like, I was probably, you know, had been acting for 16 or 17 years by that point, was like, really?

This is not,

getting any easier I wasn't sure if I had the stomach for it and then for some reason something clicked and got through my thick skull that what I have to give is unique and I'm not saying that like I'm the best one it's just everybody has something unique and I sort of was like oh okay I'm

I'm just going to do what I would do if they hired me, which sounds really obvious.

And so when it came time to audition for the White Lotus, I was very much kind of in my trying to be not jaded, but also trying to be really, this is me, this is you're going to get me, unapologetic.

And so I put that audition down, sent it off, la-di-da,

And then two weeks later I was at a friend's wedding in Los Angeles and she'd let me be a bit of an honorary bridesmaid that day.

I was just kicking about helping them get ready because I'd come so far so I was allowed to stay.

And then I was just about to go take my seat for the ceremony and I got a text from Zara to say, oh my gosh, we just had this amazing feedback from the casting of White Lotus.

They liked me a lot and they reiterated the shoot dates.

And I just remember thinking, well, I will just dine out on that.

That's great.

Amazing.

That'll do me.

That show will come on telly and I'll say, hey, I auditioned for that and they liked me.

And I think I shared that text with my husband and my mum and then sat watching the wedding.

I think later in the reception I took a friend aside and was like, can I just tell you this crazy thing that's happened?

So that was really lovely because, again, we live off hope.

So I just got to be all hopeful and fizzy.

And that's right.
