They're going to be really puffy.
And I want everyone to make sure that they look good afterwards.
Oh my God.
Yes.
Oh my God.
Grace and Stella eye patches are necessary.
yeah you know this this whole book was really an interesting experience because it was never meant to be anything literally which i think some of the best things in life come from something you never thought was going to happen and this was one of those i was i was in my college class and truly i knew i wanted to be a writer after i was in a shakespeare class in high school and my world was opened up and i had this amazing teacher who took the time to show me i could be a writer
And I went into college and said, OK, I need to learn because in high school, I really I didn't really learn because I didn't want to, you know.
And so I got into college like really behind in my mind of like, OK, I need to know how to write and learn the fundamentals.
So I was in my college class and I knew I wanted to write full novels.
And I was going to write fantasy.
That was exactly where I was going in my life.
And I had already started a fantasy book, kind of working through it.
And my teacher says, we're going to write short stories.
And I was like, are you kidding me?
I have to sit here and I have to write short stories.
I don't want to write a short story.
I'm like, I'm not going to be good at this.
and i'm so glad she made me because learning how to write a short story you have to compact what you're trying to say so fast and you've got to get that message across in such a short amount of time so you learn how to be very dynamic in what you're writing when you learn short story and she said okay i want you guys to think if you could go back in time and tell your younger self one thing turn that into a quote and that is the message of this story
And I was like, OK, so let's dig up some childhood trauma and figure this out.
