This is why we call it a paradox.
They encounter more failures than the the kind of newer AI users.
If you're looking at a dashboard, who's seeing the most problems, it'd be like, oh, these high fluency users.
So they encounter more failures because they're pushing back.
They also succeed more and they succeed at complicated complic more complicated tasks.
And so it's the same AI system, same user use case, but depending upon what the user is bringing and how much they're pushing back, how much they're engaging critically, that can be the difference between the AI product being wildly successful on some complicated task and it just
Just failing hilariously on something that should be very simple.
It's it's in how we design the interaction as product builders.
It's about how we think about because we aren't just designing how the model behaves.
We're also designing how the user behaves.
I I talked at the beginning about that experiment we did with role play where you introduce it in two different ways.
That that introduction of how we introduced the AI role play, that was a design choice that changed how the user behaved.
And so we designed not just the model side of the interaction, but also the user side.
And you so you can't perfectly design, you know, you can't design a human behavior the way you can design um an AI, but you can set the mental model.
You can have the right affordances.
It's looking at designing an interaction rather than thinking specifically just about how do I prompt the model.
It's like, how do I design what actually happens in the room?
What is the user seeing before they get to that room?
How do they think about what the purpose is?
Um, and sort of like considering both sides of that interaction, both the model and the user.
