the campaign intensity of the air goes down over time.

So really, February 28th, March 4th, that period, that was the peak intensity, and it only goes down from there.

And these destruction of bases is also going to further reduce the effectiveness of the aerial weapon.

So there'll be more pressure to take an island to launch some sort of ground campaign, and that will mean more casualties inevitably as the war continues.

Well, you know, that's exactly the problem, because first of all, the depletion of interceptor stocks and the destruction of air defenses means that the war becomes more dangerous for the U.S.

and its allies as it goes on.

And we're currently entering that phase at the moment.

But secondly, there will be more pressure because the U.S.

can either capitulate or leave the conflict without a deal.

I think a deal itself, for many reasons we can talk about, is probably becoming more unlikely.

Or it could escalate to the ground and escalate to try to invade the Iranian coast, try to invade certain islands in Iran and capture them and so forth.

But that really does not make a lot of sense to me either, because first of all, leaving aside the casualties that will take place in that circumstance, it's not clear why that would end the war, if any.

The U.S.

takes a couple islands in the straightforward moves.

Iran will fire ballistic missiles at those islands.

People will be killed in those attacks.

There will be a question of how to resupply people on the islands, how to keep them there, what they'll be doing while they're there, how to keep them safe and so forth.

Those questions won't go away.

And that escalation will lead to further escalation because then if you hold the islands, you may need to hold part of the coast to keep the soldiers there safe.

And then when you're on the coast, you'll be hit by drones and ground attacks.
