I have had the pleasure of working with Jerry and also watching her not quiet, fierce, passionate organizing skills in environmental justice at Poder, as a fantastic teacher at Cesar Chavez, and now having seen you step up to this leadership role at UESF.

In addition to being a great teacher, organizer, union leader, you're also an amazing friend and a mother.

And I admire your passion, but also your love and your deep commitment to community and also your family and the people around you that you're responsible for.

And you are just...

breathtaking in the way you approach life.

You're an amazing human being, Jerry.
