Okay, it seems to me that in the story of, in the Genesis account, God basically tells Adam and Eve that they have unlimited freedom in the garden except for one thing.

And I think it's associated with this idea of discernment because they're not supposed to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which I believe means they're not to make the presumption that they can establish the fundamental axioms of the moral order.
