Two years ago, he had a two-set lead, but in the end, it was the overall fatigue of the amount of work he had to do to get to that final, which took its toll, as he had played for 24 hours and 17 minutes and just didn't have enough to take that final set, allowing Sinner to make a phenomenal comeback and take...
that Australian Open away from him but he does have previous here he comes in with momentum and he's desperate to erase what was a horrible year I'm going to go for Medvedev here in quarter two quarter three the winner of quarter three I think will go on and play Yannick Sinner so it's not worth talking about quarter four
And Novak Djokovic is the favourite here at 13-10.
Taylor Fritz was available at 6-1.
It has now come down to 9-2 with Lorenzo Massetti at 11-2, Herbert Husk at 6-1.
Jacob Mensik at 9-1 and Thomas Machach at 10-1.
Tsitsipas has also been his part of the draw at 20-1.
So this is a tough quarter, but I'm going to double down on what I said earlier.
Novak Djokovic is still the third best player in the world.
He can still beat all of these guys.
He just cannot beat Alcaraz and Sinner, especially Sinner.
And his head-to-head record recently against Sinner has seen him lose all of the last five.
So Sinner's not going to be worried about a Novak Djokovic who he's beaten in his last five meetings, three of which have come in the semifinals of SLAM.
So if you actually want to get a little bit more value on Djokovic, rather than playing him to win the quarter at 13-10, which is actually a decent price anyway, you can play the stage of elimination.
If you have a book that has it, shop around.
And you can find Djokovic at 2-1 plus 200 to be eliminated in the semifinals once again.
That'll be the fourth time that's happened.
That'll be his sixth straight defeat to Sinner.
And that's ultimately what I see happening, unfortunately, for Djokovic.
