The answer is C Alzheimer's disease.
Although galantamine doesn't cure Alzheimer's, it does treat mild to moderate symptoms.
In Alzheimer's disease, the brain experiences a severe drop in acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter crucial for memory, attention, and learning.
Galantamine has two different ways of increasing acetylcholine.
First, it works by blocking its breakdown.
Secondly, it can bind to and stimulate certain brain receptors to release more acetylcholine.
The increase in this neurotransmitter temporarily improves and stabilizes cognitive function.
