And so what we've had to encounter over the last week and a half is countering this disinformation and misinformation campaign, trying to activate those who are progressive.
to actually use their voices to fight back as we remind them, look, justice delayed is justice denied.
And our leverage is to push our governor to do more.
You know, he called in the National Guard and he said that he was calling in the National Guard essentially to preempt Trump
from trying to federalize the National Guard and take control.
But at the end of the day, the National Guard isn't helping the people, right?
The National Guard is really there to protect buildings.
And so we're having to educate folks about the fact that our governor
has the authority to instruct the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to conduct a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation into the killing of Renee Good.
He has not done so.
The Attorney General, Keith Ellison,
County Attorney Mary Moriarty have said they're undertaking an investigation, which we think is wonderful, but there's been no timeline and there's no law enforcement agency attached to this investigation.
So as black activists, we're having to, as Georgia Force says, change the narrative.
Right.
And educate people about the truth, because people will believe the lies, especially if they don't take time to research.
And especially if our Democratic leadership is not being forthcoming because they don't want to be accountable for using the power that they have to protect the people and ensure that justice is actually served.
No, you're absolutely right.
And it actually reminded me of what they did in South Africa during apartheid.
You know, if you were black, you had to have identification with you, your papers with you at all times or you would be arrested and detained.
So it's the same practices happening here in the United States without justification.
