Uh and while it's distasteful to remove the language, I understand that it is unfortunately the law right now.
Um but I found that I really must say how I feel about it, uh, even though I'm gonna be
uh voting for it due to it being state part of state law.
But and I'm gonna hope that the spirit of the the text that we have made some changes in our land use um wording um that um hopefully will not disproportionately impact the most vulnerable residents um
and uh that we will uh somehow maintain a a common sense uh practice that we have pursued.
uh for a a long time in our community.

Um actually seventy five and seventy six are far worse than the previous two.
Um these are changes that the state legislature and governor have imposed upon us to remove the sections of our procurement code that ensure employee retention.
uh recognition of domestic partnerships and our entire living wage ordinance.
Our um in uh uh employee retention has been one of the basic protections that ensure
That whenever we as a county find a vendor that can provide uh the same service at less expense to the taxpayers, it does not result
and the employees using losing their jobs.
