Everyone says, what's your favourite bird?

And it does always go down to the blue tits.

I love a bird pun.

Anything that's got a slightly double entendre.

I'm a big fan of tits.

So that means I do a lot of bird and bat surveys.

I am a naturalist at heart.

So very much come from the enthusiast into the professional sphere.

And I love working with the BTO.

So I'm a regional rep for them.

I am the chair of our local wildlife trust group and I'm the chair of the bat group.

And I do a little dabble in bat care as well.

So truly a nature obsessive, I think you would say.

So I'm on the autistic spectrum and I very much consider nature and wildlife to be my special interest.

Birding to me is a sense of freedom.

I was diagnosed quite late in life.

I think I was 25 or 27 around there.

But I fully, I always say nature saves my life.

I was in a very poor state of mental health when I was growing up in a, I wasn't even in an urban environment, but just not somewhere where I could just go and walk places.

And you know, you have your headphones in all the time and you're constantly focusing inward.
