And a tennis player friend of mine is telling me paddle really is for people that wanted to be good at tennis but can't serve.
So we're seeing the early... Okay, so they're not all former tennis players?
Because you would think maybe in Ireland, given our hurling tradition, given our squash tradition, that we would produce some good paddle players.
It's quite noisy.
I'm not sure I'd be quite happy with one in the next door neighbour's back garden.
I suppose every sport likes to say it's growing fast, but this has to be one of the fastest growing sports in Europe, is it?
I had some good assistance, actually.
I had paddle players who are playing for Ireland and they dropped in.
It is definitely more forgiving.
I mean, I played a bit of squash when I was younger, played tennis, and you do have a smaller area to cover on the court, which is a good thing.
I suppose in terms of cost, you're looking at probably in and around what it costs for a fitness class.
So some clubs might be cheaper and will give you access to set times.
And there is this growing network of coaches as well around the country.
So
that social side to it is very strong.
Inevitably, it is starting to attract players who want to compete nationally and want to compete internationally.
I did give it a go and I was, as I said, with some very good players alongside me in the court.
And in terms of like comparing Spain to Ireland, like it's big there, isn't it?
Yeah, good way to describe it because obviously we have a glass back wall and glass sides.
So like squash, you can play the ball off the back.
