They give me the plan.
And hearing it, I was like, okay, this is 80% of what I would like.
Now I have two choices in this moment.
I can spend the next hour of the drive micromanaging this person to get it done exactly how I want it.
Or I can figure out when good is good enough.
And so what I did was I said, cool, let's say this thing's happening over the space of an hour.
give me the first 15 minutes to frame up things the way I would like and get in the things I would like to execute on.
The next 45 minutes is yours.
You do it the way you've planned.
And so I got to have my input.
They got to do it their way.
It's probably now 90% of the way I'd like it.
That is more than good enough.
And then I spent the drive in silence versus spiraling and micromanaging and controlling.
Mm-hmm.
And that is how it shows up in many different areas in delegation, many different areas in my team.
But I have to come back to as long as my data is right, as long as I'm tracking accordingly, as long as I have great processes and systems in place, then I have to trust if things are in the green, then things are being taken care of.
