So, OK, break it down for us.
You've done a beautiful job of looking at what the government has actually said that we have, how much we have drained.
Can you let us know how this works and what the numbers actually say?
And so I did find a picture of what you're talking about, these salt caverns.
You say if we actually want to get it out, we have to pump salt water in and then bring it out.
But we can't bring all of it out.
We have to leave some in or else the cavern collapses.
And also the military has first dibs.
So that's why we can't rely on what we have in totality, even though what we have in totality right now is still quite low.
So then why would President Trump encourage more consumption?
Does he not know this?
I'm so curious how we got here, because the president had to authorize tapping into this reserve, which means someone had to tell him how much was there, how long we could do this.
Now, you said this may account for why there's such an urgency to open up the global market through the Strait of Hormuz, because, you know, the war, what it's done to all of us.
Can you walk us through how that happens?
The president has to tell someone to do it and then it starts to be filtered into our economy.
