I have some thoughts of my own.
Yeah, I mean Netflix is definitely coming out swinging in their response.
And I really think that's because of the precedent Tyra's case would set if it succeeded in any way.
Think about how many documentaries they have.
What would happen to their business if so many of the people in those documentaries came forward and said, Hey, I don't like the way I was presented and you actually defame me.
That would be a huge problem and a huge business cost for Netflix.
Not to mention, like they're already in other litigation over baby reindeer.
I don't know if you watched or remembered that series.
Yes.
And it you know, it says that it's based on a true story and since it came out, the woman who
says she's the basis for the character, has come out and and sued them.
And it's a really big, expensive a hundred and seventy million dollar lawsuit over defamation, negligence, and privacy violations.
So
They do not want to let anything fall through the cracks here.
They do not want to set a precedent that would allow them to be
Liable for any of this stuff.
But the other part that Netflix addresses in their lawsuit that is something that Tyra Banks brought up.
was this issue of the album.
So she was basically upset that her image was used to promote the soundtrack for this documentary.
What did Netflix say in response to that?
