When the 9-11 attacks happened on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon, Brandon was in his early teens attending the same school that his mum taught at.

Creech is an hour's drive out of Las Vegas on Highway 95 in the Nevada desert.
They said they'd tell him what he was going to be doing when he got there.
It was a weird kind of world Brandon found himself in there in the desert outside of Vegas.
