Exemplified that he had such courage, more courage than anybody that I've ever known.
And that tells me that the love of Christ and the light of Christ was in him because I the most courageous people have had Christ.
And you know, I want to bring faith into this because I wanted to honor Charlie by bringing Christianity all throughout the song.
The song is going to bring you through so many emotions if you haven't heard it.
We are grieving still for him.
And uh, but I wanted to bring hope into this.
And so the Christianity layer is I brought Benji Gaither in to do the duet with me.
He's Bill Gaither's son.

Uh for me you can't separate this from faith.
Our hope does not end at the funeral.
As Christians, we grieve, but we don't grieve without hope.
Charlie spoke openly about his faith.
I wanted this song to acknowledge the heartbreak without leaving people in despair.
Because, folks, we have a responsibility, the life that God put into Charlie, his work ethic, his courage, his faithfulness, all of that is his legacy.
And you know, legacy isn't what people say when you're gone.
It's what people do differently because you lived.
