The prosecution argues that Clancy planned the killings because she wanted to kill herself and decided to kill her children out of love, thinking that it would spare them pain.

The jury will decide if Clancy is criminally responsible or if she was unaware of what she was doing.
Her defense says she experienced psychosis and heard hallucinations, telling her to kill her kids and herself.
The prosecution says she planned the killings.
And deliberately sent her ex-husband out of the home.
Now, if she is found not guilty by reason of insanity, she would likely be committed to a mental hospital.
But because her defense of postpartum psychosis is temporary, legal experts say she likely would have a decent shot at eventually getting out of that mental hospital from her periodic reviews.
The jury is not sequestered, so they are out in the community trying their best not to consume any media of this case.
