I think what Liberty Media have done a little bit more is ruled by consensus a bit more.

There's this agreement, I think, that a rising tide does lift all boats, and sometimes the teams don't need to necessarily be, like in 2009, kind of at loggerheads with each other, trying to rip shreds out of each other, even though that does still happen, as we've seen in Netflix.

So I think the role has changed a bit because Liberty have been able to kind of

roll that back a little bit you know if we look at the way f1 were kind of all united in terms of the cadillac slash andretti entry you know it was all one unified front i think liberty media been very good at doing that but we still see toto wolf christian horner on netflix episodes going back and forth but those two guys to me were really the the last two throwbacks from that era that you mentioned of the piranha club being in its pump you know if you think about the reason i say 2009 i just watched the disney plus documentary on the braun season

And the characters in that were all very politically astute.

You know, you had Briatore that, you know, that was kind of original Briatore as well, not the sort of watered down version that we've got now with Alpine.

But politics had to be part of their job, you know, Ron Dennis, etc.

as well.

So I don't think it's as important as it used to be.

But I think the cliche still exists.

And actually, because it's diminished, being politically quite astute, I think now actually has almost more impact than it may have done before, because you can actually probably make a bit more of an impact.
