You're right, and I think every step Iran has taken so far has shown they don't want to give up control of the Strait, but I think ultimately that could backfire.

And the reason I say that is basically Iran can choose how to use the Strait of Hormuz for one or two ways.

You can use it to kind of wrangle short-term concessions.

Try to make money through fees or tolls, you know, use it to squeeze the U.S.

You know, anytime you don't like you see something in Lebanon, basically what they're doing now.

Or I think they could use it as like a security guarantee, because if they keep this straight open, then they basically have achieved a scenario where.

No US president will ever attack Iran again knowing what the consequences would be.

You know that if Iran is attacked, that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed again, and that's an incredible deterrent.

I can't imagine a scenario a year from now if the Strait is back open and the IEA is back in where…

Israel or someone else comes to the U.S.

and says, we need to bomb Iran, and they get a green light.

And so I think it's ultimately in Iran's interest to keep the Strait open, but right now they're not doing that.

So they are not seeing it the way I see it.

I think so, yeah.

And right now they're picking short-term gain, tolls and fees.

And to me, I think that ultimately runs against their own long-term interests.

You know, they have this, you know, essentially golden ticket they've been handed in terms of security guarantee, and they're kind of chipping away at the edges of it and they're cutting it away.

And I think that's ultimately not in their interests.

Basically, Iran needs to make a choice between their short-term interests and their long-term interests.

And so I think ultimately, you know, they've won the war.
