Seahawks with the points was the worst bet. Well, I would say it's more of a bad beat than a bad bet.

GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I mean, are we counting all the ones that he probably made preseason that included one of these two teams to win it? Because if that's the case, it's way over. I mean, we're in the mid-double digits. No, Mikey, I'm including those.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
He grabbed the early line. He grabbed the hypothetical line. He grabbed the money line.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I like to think so. Otherwise, what are we doing here?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Go ahead, Mike. Speaking of longest rush, I feel like it doesn't matter what that number is for Saquon Barkley because he's going to get it on the first carry. Saquon Barkley longest rush. Last few times I've seen it in the high 20s. Are you still thinking that they're going to be able to do that this time around against the Chiefs?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Billy did. I think Bear tried just as much.

GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I also love the idea of him taking all that money, putting it in blackjack, and he's getting aces, and then he's got to split them. And then he gets aces again, and he splits it again, and he winds up losing everything.

GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Five times the stake out there.

GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Fair, fair. My pen and pad is ready. What Kentucky Derby future are we talking about?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Bear, I can't believe we haven't asked you yet. Who are you taking in the game, though? I don't think he knows yet. I think he has an idea of what he wants, but he's waiting for the right number. So you're aware this will not air until Tuesday, just so you know, Bear, okay?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
No. They'd have to restructure it a little bit. But if he wants to be there, they'll make it work. Bear, he's the best option they have.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I had to, man. You do that when you're my age, which is 50. My better days are behind me. I used to be a contender, especially at the bar. No, but that's kind of what I had to do. I looked at my schedule and I was like, huh. I don't know if I could do this with a headache.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I know. I love this city. My uncle played for the Saints for 10 years.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So I used to go to the Manning Academy here in Louisiana. So I used to come every year in New Orleans in January. And so, like, It's kind of fun actually doing it for work now. Yes. Every time I'm here, I'm like, oh, yeah, the city rocks. Right. People here are really nice and cool and fun. So I'm loving it so far.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
It's a walking city, yeah.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
That's kind of, you know, I don't know if you've been to the Combine in Indy. No. That's why I never think they'll move it. Right. Because everything is like three blocks from each other. Yes. Bars included, restaurants, but just like where the facilities are. Yes. And that's just such an underrated. No one wants to get in the car for five to ten minutes and do everything.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So I think that's what's great about this right now.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
That and Prime 47. Oh, really? Which is a restaurant.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
No, it's been around. It's just that time doesn't exist in Prime 47. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah. It's the same lighting. Next thing you know. Yeah, same lighting no matter what. And the thing that happens during the combine is just a lot of guys, a lot of coaches and personnel guys, they're interviewing until 11 p.m.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So, like, really the networking, quote, unquote, the convention part of the Combine, it's, like, starts at midnight. It's, like, not even just drinking-wise. It's just, like, people just finally are stepping out and actually can, like, hang out and stuff. So it's kind of a surreal thing where it's, like, all right, 11 o'clock, guess I'll start out.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
You know, I feel like I'm in New York or Miami, actually. Yeah.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Yeah. I hang out longer in Indy than I do in New Orleans.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Yeah, I know. I know. And I live in Vegas, too, and I'm acting like I'm just like, yeah, don't even handle this.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I did meet you there, and I was like, okay, you did. I was surprised. No, no, I remember, Nate. Yes, yes. I normally don't, to be honest with you. No, that's the thing. I felt bad for people there because you could tell everyone's excited at Vegas. And then after day four, and you guys had some crazy weather too. It was freezing. And day four, I got to go home every night.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And I just saw everybody worn out. It's just being in those casinos. It's like the little city states and you can't get out.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Yeah, I know. That's what's so great. My hotel's two blocks away.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So we've got Charles McDonald, who I know has been on some Levitard shows. Yeah, friend of the show. Yeah, friend of the show. So him and I and Matt Harmon, who does reception perception. His background's a lot more in fantasy, but really we talk about X's and O's, scheme stuff. Really a lot of deep dive stuff. Charles helps me kind of come out of my little lair sometimes.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Actually, I got to be a normal person about some of it. But really just like there's a lot of like what happened, when happened. We're really trying to go why, how. I think a lot of people like when they can just point out one thing to their buddy at the bar. They go like, hey, hey, this linebacker's pretty good. Or hey, they like run this coverage or something of that sort.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
My background, I kind of done everything in football, played, coached, scouted. I was a ball boy. I think with just all that has kind of led me to kind of go like, oh, maybe this. I was around a lot smarter people through osmosis. I go, maybe look out for this. Maybe look for this guard that's weak against this blitz. And I think that's kind of like a nice angle for us.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
It's a lot of fun to kind of dive into.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And that's what people think the All-22, you know, the big X and O stuff where you can see all the players on there. People think that's like, oh, you guys don't know what you're looking at and stuff. But you have to rewind it a million times because... Like, you don't always see what the guard is doing from the sideline angle. You don't see downfield what the safety is doing.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And that play was brilliant. I mean, we had 500 backlash breakdowns on that play and everything. But that's what's really cool, especially with blitz stuff, is that there's layers to it. And there's rule breakers. And that's why I love Spagnuolo. I was a former offensive guy. But watch him. He breaks rules. And that's what – it's a total F me, F you kind of thing.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And he's able to do it. And you saw like that perfect fourth down play. It was like, yeah, that's what Spaggs does to you.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
He does the 5-0-1 thing. Yes. That you're not – you are prepared for it, but it would be like a leap of faith to get there for an offense. And that's what's really cool when you start dissecting it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
That's right. And his reputation in my mind now, speaking to this, is he went from head coach retread, okay, interesting defense coordinator, to now I consider him one of the greatest defense coordinators of all time.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And I truly mean this. I think that some of the game plans, just like Belichick, should go to Canton. Because he's one of the best game plan coordinators. Once the playoffs start, it's so week to week. As far as like, all right, that game plan, throw it out because we're starting a whole new one.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And now we've got all 18 weeks to look at the previous film as opposed to maybe four in the middle of the season. Him and Andy Reid on the opposite side are the best. And now they have a bye week. So that's how I look at it too. It's like, all right, you probably paid pretty well too. And everybody now has the respect level has gone through the roof.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
It's not just week to week. It's once we hit playoff time, they have those hyper-specific game plans. So maybe that's the best way to put it. They're the ones that are able to create these one-off game plans, the one-off plays that's like, oh, that was cool. I even come back to two years ago when these two teams played in the Super Bowl.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Remember the kind of back-and-forth touchdowns, the motions and stuff? Because Andy Reid was able to watch every Eagles game where the coaches were from the whole regular season. And they took those plays, which are popular, but they took it from the Jaguars doing it against the Eagles in like week four. And that's the difference is they put in the work and go, oh, that's interesting.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
We're going to put it in now. And that's what the extra bye week does. It gives you the time to do it. Interesting. Yeah, that week to week. I keep saying week to week. I should say that specific playoff game plans, they are the best at it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
He does, right? I mean, they keep winning and everything.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I thought one thing. underrated aspect of Sirianni was the year before they won that first Super Bowl run, so that would have been 21, he benched himself as a play caller. And usually you'd be like, ha, ha, ha. But I thought the humility to go, no, Steichen, you got the plays. I'm going to bench him.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Because they were struggling the first four or five weeks, I want to say it was, and then they had a bye. And they launched from there, and then they got A.J. Brown and continued the next year. Steichen's now a head coach.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Usually what you see is the opposite. Oh, I'm taking it away from him. He's fine. He's the first one in front of me in the fire going, yeah. He's the human meat shield for me. And I kind of look back then. I respect him for that because not a lot of head coaches would do that, especially ones that you know, finally get their first head coaching job. I'm like, I'm going to be a play caller.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Look at me. I'm the next McVay Shanahan.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So that's one thing where I was like, hey, I mean, there is something to that. And there's something to being like, I hate the term, but the CEO type that kind of gets everyone organized. And if they're, I mean, they keep winning games.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I mean, they should be giving him a bunch of vowels in it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Another one got ran out. Like, Doug, Andy Reid got ran out. I know. I know. Sirianni can still win something. Hey, going to two and winning one is a lot better than a lot of other coaches. I know, even if you end up as the Larry Coker of NFL coaches, it's not the worst.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And that's how I feel about him a little bit, too. It's like, hey, yeah, he's taking over a Ferrari, but he's keeping it on the road. And I know every time they lose, it's the funniest little, like, You know, everybody starts dropping rumors and gossip and everything. But I haven't gotten a lot of that lately because I think things have been pretty good in Philly.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I think it's going to be a lot of long drives, too. Both of these defenses are top five in allowing explosive plays, and the fact that they don't allow them, I should say. And I think that you can be methodical against both of them. I think the Rams game was interesting against this Eagles defense, where they were really doing a lot of at-you runs around a concept called duo.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
But what it is is just vertical, just power, basically, without anyone pulling. And you can do that. If you're willing to live with four, five, six-yard gains, yeah. And the Chiefs are able to do that. That's what they want to do. They're not very explosive anyways, but they're hyper-efficient. So I think that's a lot of long drives. There's a line I've been kind of giving.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I think this is going to be the shortest Super Bowl. I agree. Even with the halftime show.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
That's it. And both teams want to do that. The Chiefs want to go, well, we don't want them hitting big play after big play on us. So I am really curious. My eyes are going to Spaggs versus Jalen Hurts and the Eagles off the line. It really is because... Spags is one of the best, like, he's one of the biggest blitzers, but he runs a lot of zone blitzes.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And that's the difference than man coverage blitzes. And Jalen Hurts has been better against the blitz, but if you remember last year in the playoffs, Todd Bowles and the Bucs, they kind of exposed him a little bit. And he's not good against zone blitzes, though, because it's just a little more confusing. It's a little more exotic.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So that's one thing where it's like, all right, if they get an explosive play off of it, that's going to decide the game. But I think Spags are going to try and bait them into that one turnover that can totally swing the game.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I'm fine with that. This is more of my language, so we're good.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Yeah, so I'll tell you one little inside baseball play. It's a coverage called Palms, and it's a quarters coverage, so two high shell. And on it, it's basically a defense trying to run cover two and cover four at the same time. And what you're trying to do is bait the quarterback into throwing to the slot, like a quick out route, and thinking that you can just have nice open space over there.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Jalen Hurts loves throwing those.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
The Chiefs are one of the best defenses at running this. So they'll blitz. Quarterback will think he's hot. And there's the corner who looks like he's running with the outside receiver. He'll turn around and be there to pick off and blow up the slot or the tight end. I feel like that kind of play is going to be the one that decides the game. It's what the Chiefs do.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
It also baits Hurts into throwing what he wants to throw. But this is where I love this stuff is that, okay, I know what you know what I know what you know. All right, does Kellen Moore go like, all right, now throw the vertical route right behind it? Oh, I like that.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And that's what I, if he does, if I see that little hole shot, you know, that little 15 to 20 yarder towards the sideline, I'll be like, oh, the Eagles got some stuff. If I see that pick or that batted ball or that blow up on a quick out route, that's where I'm like, okay, the Chiefs got some stuff.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
There's going to be those little kind of indicators like who's kind of maybe has the mental edge right away.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
No, I'm not. I'm doing the same thing, by the way.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
That's right. And there's nothing where I look at with this Chiefs team where I'm like, oh, that's a glaring weakness. Everything's solid. They just don't create explosives. But the thing is, Mahomes can be methodical and can nickel and dime you. And you got Andy Reid on a bye week, and you got Steve Spagnuolo on a bye week. I'd never go against it. But I do. Eagles can run the ball, stop the run.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Create explosive plays, stop explosive plays. That's a really good formula, too. No doubt. How's the Land Cruiser set, by the way?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Oh, my God. I know. I know. But that's what I said. They literally have X's and O's on it. I know. That is so good. No, it's great. I know. They're doing a great job there.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Ball boy was pretty great. I was in high school, middle school. I was with those old Vikings teams with Moss and Culpepper and stuff. Oh, wow. Yeah, I saw some real s**t. Oh, my God. Yeah, some of the greatest s**t. Yeah, so Moss lateral stuff.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Yeah, so, yeah. Never shutting up. Yeah, Terry O'Smith. I said that respectfully to Chris Carter. He was just wired that way. Well, that's also a warp in my line of thinking is that I watched Randy Moss, Dante Culpepper, Chris Carter play. John Randall, Kevin Williams, all these guys. And I'm like, oh, yeah, every receiver is like Randy Moss. Yeah, right.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And then I've never seen someone near that ever in my life. Not even close. Not even close. It's like, oh, there's a lot more Nate Burlesons than Randy Mosses. I love Nate, too.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
He doesn't deserve any of this. No, but being a ball boy, even though I was making like $20 a week, it was invaluable. I remember the Vic play where two guys ran into each other in the rankings. I was there for that one. I saw a lot of kind of cool moments. I saw Brett Favre play five feet for me, Peyton Manning. Amazing. That probably is the best because maybe I was also 16.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
And it comes with zero expectations too. Just get the ball there. Just throw it on your hand. Make sure it spirals. You can't throw overhand to refs.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So there's a preferred throwing style. Time out.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Okay. They get mad at you if you throw it overhand because some of them can't catch. Okay. So you have to throw an underhand throw, and they prefer with a little lob.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So they can adjust to it and everything like that.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
So, no, but, like, and I was a quarterback, so, like, there's times I was like, fuck it. Let it rip. Let it rip. And one time a ref actually loved that because it was like a no-huddle two-minute situation. He's like, thanks for getting the ball out there. And I was like, oh, God, I thought I was going to be fired. But, no, it's true. I one time threw it overhand, and a ref lectured me. Really?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
He's like, do not. throw it overhand. He's like, you do not know what my hands are like.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
I know. I wish. Who's the ref? I know. Well, a lot of those guys are retired now, too. So, yeah, I know. Has there been a ref? It might have been Hockley. It might have been Hockley. Oh, really?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Oh, really? This is fascinating. Nothing personal he did to me, but one thing if I were to ask. All I want is ball boy stories from you. Go ahead. bulky for a reason. He knows he's on TV. One thing with Hockley I always notice. Okay, so there's the orange guy that says TV timeout. Takes the pause. Offense will be in a huddle sometimes and everything.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
A lot of refs just go into the quarterback like, hey, five seconds. And then back out of there. Hockley goes... He had five seconds and just hangs because he knows the camera. He's going to be, when I come back from career show, where they always show the offense breaking the huddle. Yes. There's Hockley always going, and then he goes. Showing off the guns.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Every quarterback in the league knows that. So everyone was like, yeah. So when I've been on the league, people were kind of busting balls about it. So I got to make sure to get that extra couple seconds in there.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
A couple seconds of pose, right? Show off the tries.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Who was the defensive coordinator for the Giants?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Spags is an absolute rebuttal. I would say Mahomes is the better rebuttal.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Right. You just said the whole point is to keep Mahomes off the field. It is. And I think it's hard to keep Mahomes off the field because... Spags.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Right. How does that make any sense? What do you mean, how does it make sense?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
GBF- Super Week: Welcome to Radio Row!
Nobody. But here's my question. Does Jason leave Travis sad in the locker room to go party with the Eagles if the Eagles win? Because I say yes.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Most interested? I just want to see where the quarterbacks go, as always. I'm basic. You know, quarterbacks, they draw my eyes. I follow the stars. But thank you for having me. But, yeah, I just want to see where the quarterbacks end up because there's been a lot of hoopla, a lot of flags being planted. I want to see some of those flags go down. Hoopla. All right. Already.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
We've already gotten to the hoopla.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
I did not. I did not see A.J. Brown. Was he reading a book? And that's why it's got stolen. No, I was a little distracted reading a book.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
That'd be a weird mobile alert. I do not. I'm five layers deep in the draft. I'm watching Ashton Gentry versus Nevada Reno. You know, that's what I'm pulling right now. So do not see A.J. Brown doing that.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Yeah, I think Steelers kind of seems like the, I don't know, floor is the right word or ceiling where he can go highest. Because I think what happened with the Shadur Sanders experience is that experience, I'll say, because it has been experienced this whole draft cycle, is that I think it was more evaluators started evaluating him.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
You know, the one, the decision makers, the coaches, the GMs, assistant GMs, the ones up top, they all just kind of went, oh. Okay, this is what you are. And this is good and bad. And I think that the realistic slotting for him is starting at pick 20 into the early second round. And you never know because teams get frisky with quarterbacks, especially in the 20s. Oh, our guy's dropping.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
We got to move up for there. But I think that at pick 20 is where or 21, I believe it's where the Steelers are, is really where it starts for him. Because I just think that it's realistic expectations for him. I view him as a second rounder or a day two guy, as I would put it, because quarterback grading gets wonky and where they actually go.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
But that is kind of I think more of the consensus than not what has been kind of like publicly happening. And I think it's kind of catching up and we'll see that on draft night. But the Steelers might be one. But we'll see. It can be all over the place because that's how this class, not just quarterbacks, but the entire class of the draft is there's lack of consensus.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
So it might be it might be even more wonky on a Thursday and Friday than we usually see.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
I know. I'm awake. So my eyes are actually open. Usually they're just slits. And then that's all you can usually see with them. So I appreciate that. I appreciate the blue eye compliments.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
I had a late second grade on his car, so I'm surprised it went this early and that he signed a deal to be dropped in the news this early. I thought the new CBA didn't allow that to be signed before the draft.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Hope. I think that's what it is. I think hope is what you're selling on draft night. And I think that's why they've packaged it, stamped it and sold it to everybody. I think that's really what it is. And I think, too, is that college football is so big that you have people that. Hey, we're playing member berries with some of these guys. Hey, this guy, you know him. He won the Heisman.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Hey, this guy was really good. A four year starter for your school, which is unlikely now with everyone transferring. But really, that's what you're selling to teams is that all 32 teams have hope. It's the games haven't started. They haven't started 0 and 6. They haven't started 0 and 5. They haven't fired their head coach. Their quarterback isn't actually a lemon player.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
You know, and I think that's what you're selling. And also the draft now, if you notice, is it's rotating all these cold weather cities. And I think that's been a great thing for actually the NFL. It's like, well, also they make more money off of it. So, of course, it's a great thing for them. But they have gone, oh, the Super Bowl gets the warm weather cities.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Well, how do we reward or bring this event to the fans? And I actually think that's been a good part of this. I know it's in Green Bay this year, which is kind of a pain in the ass for most people to get to. But I know being in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Kansas City, Detroit, Detroit, it was awesome last year. So I think that's a part of it, too, is that it's the fan event.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
While the Super Bowl is the corporate event, the draft is truly the fan event. And I think that's why so many people get hyped up about it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
I would say the deepest position is running back. There might be double-digit running backs in the first two days that get selected. I looked it up. The record since the new millennium, since 2000, is 11 in the top three rounds. I think the all-time record since the mid-90s is like 15 or 14, which tells you it's a different age group.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
But I think that the running back is the deepest class with Ashton Gentry, too, on top. And there might be two or three running backs selected in the first. But edge is another spot and not just edge. D-line in general is pretty good, pretty deep at the top and into the second day.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
And actually, the position that I think has been kind of overlooked a little bit is that there's some depth that offense aligned. There might not be the really, really great guys at the top of the draft, but there's a lot of players, I would say, late first, early second, that it's a little... juicier than you'd expect than I think it's been kind of made out to be.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
And then tight end is another position that has talent at the top and on day two. Some interesting guys there, like real tight ends too, not the Mike Kosicki types. I know I'm giving a shout out to Dolphins fans here.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
What's wrong with those?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
yeah too many gaseki references already he's an excellent renaissance i've got no problem with gaseki you're the one who yeah i'm fine with gaseki you're the one who said shit about him i just want him to block once just once just just that's not what he does it's not what he does nate what is the nate what's the comp for travis hunter on both sides of the ball
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
The one I've gone with for him as a receiver is Chad Ochocinco, Chad Johnson. Chad was a much better route runner, became a very polished route runner. But as far as body type and skills and ball skills and everything like that, they're one to one, really, to me. Travis might be a little more explosive, but... Odell Beckham is another comparison I've heard with him. But that body type, twitchy.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
He's just an excellent athlete. And then defensively, I've kind of struggled with a few. Asante Samuel Sr. might be one. Champ Bailey is another one, which is maybe the high-end comparison. But the fact that I'm comparing... Chad Johnson and Champ Bailey to this guy. It kind of speaks to how crazy he is. He's really the top tier athlete I've watched in a long time.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
I grew up around Randy Moss, and he's kind of the top tier top athlete I've ever been around. Bobby Bowden. who coached Randy Moss for a semester, I think before he got kicked off, had to go to Marshall, said, hey, Randy Moss or Deion Sanders to me is the parameter for athleticism. And Randy is a bigger Deion. So I'm saying Travis Hunter is a smaller Randy Moss.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Well, then I'm comparing him to Deion, which is kind of in a roundabout way. But no matter what, he's a freak athlete. And there's some rawness with him as a receiver, but just the talent and just his athleticism, that's like he's going to figure it out. That's what's so cool about him.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
It was a good question. Yeah. I have been, I've been like officially quote unquote evaluating guys for about 10 years now, 11 years. And the best, the top tier running back to me, my favorite running back prospect was Ezekiel Elliott. And then the other guys I would say are in that top tier or Todd Gurley, Bijan Robinson, CMC and Saquon Barkley.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
And then if I had to like split that tier, it's Zeke, and then it would be Gurley and Saquon and then CMC Bijon, I would put Gentee in that CMC Bijon tier.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Yeah, yeah. I grade everything off tiers and then everything. Everything. Oh, that shower was a blue chip shower. Yeah. Yeah. That was a day two toothbrushing. Do you guys remember Nate?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Do you only play one game? I have one stat ever. It's one rush for 17 yards, one touchdown. And 17 is also how many drinks I had that night. So that was to celebrate it. What was the score of that game? Oh, my God. Didn't we drop 80 on them? And then Michael Senior called us out and actually said it was an embarrassment to the sport. It was like 83-20, I think.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
I was the human victory cigar in college. Wait a minute.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Yeah. Oh, yeah. One for one, baby. One touch, one touchdown. That's how we do it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
uh no no we're wisconsin football is a little touchy subject right now it's it's not i'm not happy with what's going on there running the air raid for two years what are we doing here
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Let's do it. Let's do it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Andrew Luck, easily.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Oh, that's hard. Marvin Harrison Sr. Actually, not have to lie, Julio Jones. Julio Jones, but that was maybe a little before me.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Not named. Oh, I would say Abdul Carter would probably be the one.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
So Tice's I agree and Naughty's I do not agree.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Don't complicate this game. Naughty. All right.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Not before the draft. I think that's going to be a little bit after that. You want me to expand on that running back one? Yeah, there might be three running backs that go in the first round.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Naughty. Absolutely naughty. No, no, Trevor Lawrence is legit.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Why are you guys complicating such a simple game? I'm positive he's good. I'm very positive he's good. A lot of people watching Jacksonville at 1 p.m. Are we all watching Jacksonville Jaguars tape?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Tice. I think they just go over the edge. I'm actually buying the Bears hype this year.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Naughty. I actually, one of my bold takes is only one will go in the first round.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Oh, Tice. He got real bad. Well, Tennessee might be happy with it. I think he got bad advice trying to up the number and everything. I think he should have just taken his soup and been happy with it, to be honest, based on his play. Is that an expression? So I do think he got bad advice.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
That was a roundabout metaphor.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
In my head, I pictured, can I have some more, sir? You know, like that came to my head mid-sentence.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Do you know what that's from, Chris?
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Tice, I think he goes in second. The Saints do like him though.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
The Naughty side is that he is going the first round. He just wanted to be with his family and just hang out. The Tice side is that actually he's going on day two, which is where he should be going. I think that's my perspective on it.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Naughty side is that, no, have you watched him throw? Oh, my God, that's day three. The tight side is, oh, my God, yes, he's a surprising guy that might go on day two, maybe even top 90, because he's a good athlete, he's tough, and he actually has a little bit more arm talent than people give him credit for. But, yes, that is our guy, Jess, me, you, and Michael Jr. Yes!
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Naughty. I'm not even going with the Tice side there.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
Hour 1: The Inconclusive Legacy Game (feat. Nate Tice)
Tice. They are lagoons.
