And if you remember, you know, learning about compound interest in middle school, you're like, wait, this isn't actually any good.
You're saying that I'm going to put in all of this.
And then five years later, like, this is what I get from it.
And it's just, it's not impressive at all.
And then you have to fast forward another 10 years, another 20 years.
And you're like, this is incredible.
This is mind blowing.
How does it turn into that?
And it's like, well,
compounding takes time.
I think in entrepreneurship, we're like that kid in middle school where we're like, five years and that's all I get?
No point.
We fail to look further down the road and be like, oh, but in 10 years, it'll be this.
That's what I think everyone does with their companies.
Let's take a company like MailChimp.
I don't have their exact numbers.
I'm assuming at this point, based on trends from previous numbers, they're somewhere around $750 million in annual revenue.
Maybe as much as a billion, but probably not quite there yet.
they've been at it for 19 years.
And so when I look at the curve that I'm on with ConvertKit and the curve that MailChimp did, if we were to overlay those two, ConvertKit is far ahead.
