An estimated 3,000 protests by hundreds of left-wing groups gathered today all over the country for May Day demonstrations.

Some 600 groups participated, combining for an annual revenue of around $2 billion.

The demonstrators have called for Americans to boycott work, school, and shopping for the day.

Among the pro-socialism groups driving the protests are the far-left Democratic Socialists of America, the People's Forum, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Code Pink, and the Answer Coalition.

Among the funders is Neville Roy Singham, an American-born billionaire who's now based in Shanghai and notorious for pushing the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda.

The FAA cleared the flight of the Falcon 9 rocket following a brief grounding order due to concerns over a technical issue in the vehicle's upper stage.
