I think it was the wing, Huberti, who scored.
So there were moments, and Ioane had a couple of reads that looked questionable in that first half.
But for me, I think you've got to take the blitz out of it in the analysis.
Where this game was lost for Leinster...
was their complete inability to, that phrase that has been used ever since Jack Nienaber walked in the door, make a shit fight of the breakdown, their phrase, not their word, not mine, they couldn't get anywhere near Bordeaux's ball.
And if you can't slow up a team with that pace and that ability, your line speed, you've got fast line speed, soft line speed, whatever it is, you are toast.
as well yeah well to be fair we're very high up yeah so we don't have a perfect idea of what it was like on pitch side overheard a few conversations of some of the commentators who were pitch side sitting near they sat near us but before the game they're pitch like they said there's a bit of a breeze today i don't think it was as bad today as it was last night last night for the ulster game it was horrific and i think half an hour into that game you could see ulster were gone
physically spent.
And look, whatever about Leinster, we can talk about maybe some players missing, lack of depth on the bench, lack of oomph, no Ryan Baird, no RG Snyman.
Those types of players, Ulster just, even with everybody fit, they probably just don't have those replacements.
They look spent.
They were always going to struggle.
I did think basically the Irish pack minus a Baird, perhaps a Snyman makes a big difference off the bench.
Might go 6-2 then.
But equally, the damage was done before.
And they made subs early.
Harry Byrne was hauled off after 44 minutes.
They brought Furlong on for Clarkson after 44 minutes.
That's reasonably early.
Dare I say, Jacques Nienober is not afraid of making an early swap with South Africa.
