I think against... You're right.

I went back and had a look at the lineups from both games because it was noted to start the difference.

They were 95% plus during the Six Nations.

They've dropped to about 80% in two games.

Now it's two games.

It's a small sample size.

It's not worth panicking over.

But against Australia, the ball was good.

The timing seemed to be okay.

We didn't have crooked throws.

There weren't throws that were in too early or too late.

I think Ireland just at times got out-jumped

I think Australia had done their homework and their two or three jumpers did quite well.

Against Japan, it was a completely different story.

It was, I think, for Japan's first try, with a winger standing at the back and he takes the long ball and he's gone because he's quick and he steps forward.

I think Keller just threw the ball in too early because if you look at it, by the time the jumper, Ryan, gets up, the ball's already passed him.

and maybe it was a botched lift but generally speaking I think the throw was just a little bit early obviously he had crooked throws Tom Stewart had one that didn't go five there was one later on where Kelleher was a bit late with his throw Byrne was already in the air half a second by the time it came to him and Japan managed to get up and knock it down

So as much as I do think hookers get an unfair ride at lineouts because there's so many moving parts, there's lifters, there's jumpers, there's opposition jumpers, there's gaps being encroached on by the opposition, all that.

I do actually think just poor old Roman Keller had a bad day, which is a big contrast because last week against Australia, when he came off the bench, all of his lineouts were perfect.

if one game can be speed, the opposition had a good defensive jumping day.
