It takes time and it will be different.
But there's so m like there's so much interest.
I mean, I'm trying to like
hedge but I do feel like it's pretty likely that I end up doing a project in this.
But there's just so much interest in it.
And it's both exciting and new.
In some ways we have less of a disadvantage in time because we're seeing it and we're not like waiting like GPT entered at like GPT four when people got serious or entering at oh one.
But I just think that
It is time and time again we see that people are very motivated in this area and
It'll probably trained differently than O one was, but people will figure out how to elicit the same behavior.
It's like once you have an existence proof, it will help.
Um we still have Lama four oh five B, which is very powerful open weight model for reasoning and stuff like this.
It's mostly it just I think takes
the iteration on building entirely new infrastructure that the community converges on.
Like the fine-tuning infrastructure is not going to be like well, part of it will be used in building O one, but I suspect there's going to be whole that's like, what is the Transformers library for O one like models?
Like there's something different there that I think is simultaneously exciting and maturing for the ecosystem, which is like, look, we need to approach these
systems and training in an entirely different way and there'll be a bigger spectrum of resources that are done to do this.
Like again, there's a pessimistic case of like we need that we don't know all the steps along the way, but like I'm pretty sure we'll get something close to it with the amount of excitement that we see.
